One mountain.
Something extraordinary beneath it.

An aerial view across the forested hills of Mont Sardier
The forest above the source.

Before there was a bottle,
there was a spring.

Hidden high on Mont Sardier, beneath our private forest, we found water that would change the way we saw this place.

Chante Oiseaux is our off-grid home in the Ardèche mountains. Far from industry, intensive agriculture and major roads, life here is shaped by the mountain. Our mist begins with what is already here: the water beneath the forest, and the Douglas fir growing above it.

Mont Sardier spring water

The reason
the formula exists.

Slow-filtered through ancient mountain granite, then through a high-altitude marl buffer. Our spring water is naturally low in minerals, with a pH of 6.6 to 6.7.

For a mist made predominantly of water, we believe the water deserves to be extraordinary.

The source analysis

Independent analysis of our spring water found no detectable PFAS or pesticide residues in the parameters tested. Complete laboratory reports will be added here when available.

Nature isn't a backdrop.
It shapes how we live.

For nearly ten years, we have lived completely off-grid at the top of Mont Sardier. Ours is the only home within the forest.

At this altitude, the seasons are sharply defined. Winters can be harsh. The mountain demands resilience, but gives us space, silence and a landscape still governed more by nature than by people.

Everything we create begins with the same principle:

Protect the place first.

A woodland track lined with snow-covered fir trees
Shaped by the seasons.
A donkey standing on a grassy slope above the wooded valley
Giving something back10%

of our profits pledged
to the welfare of donkeys
and their four-legged companions.

The donkeys of Mont Sardier

They showed us
the way.

Our donkeys led us along paths we might never have followed, into corners of the forest we might never have explored. Without them, we may never have found the water.

They were part of this story long before there was a product, a bottle or a laboratory report. In many ways, this mist is theirs as much as it is ours.

For the donkeys. For the forest.
For everything that shares this place with us.
